Michael is the Chief Marketing and Chief Communications Officer at Flextronics.
Previously, he served as the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and Executive Vice President of Fusion-io, Inc. From 2007 through 2011, he served as Global Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President at Hewlett Packard. where his organization directed all aspects of the Fortune-10 company’s corporate marketing operations globally, including brand strategy, digital strategy, integrated design, strategic partnerships, customer intelligence, and hp.com among other responsibilities.
He spent 17 years at Walt Disney Company rising to Executive Vice President in charge of all Marketing and Communications for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. His areas of responsibility include global brand image, marketing strategy, planning, publicity, advertising, media, new media/online, interactive TV, strategic alliance marketing, special events and promotions, as well as customer managed activities.
He serves as a Member of Board of Advisors at RaptorAccelerator, LLC. He also serves on the Boards of the Churchill Club and Brandweek’s Editorial Advisory Board. He serves as a Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Marketing and Branding, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the CMO Inner Circle, the Senior Advisory Board of the Executive Marketing Council, the CMO Club and the Marketing 50, a club of 50 top non-competitive Chief Marketing Officer peers who together for strategic collaboration.
He was recognized as an “Internationalist of the Year” by The Internationalist Magazine for his efforts in redefining cross-border marketing campaigns. He has overseen work that won a number of prestigious awards, including an Emmy and the 2000 and 2001 Silver Lion’s Best Corporate Campaign Award at the International Advertising Festival in Cannes, France. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Emerson College in Boston.
